For Chefs & Food Partners

Our work with chefs has always been rooted in relationships. Saraspe Seafoods began by connecting restaurants with local, seasonal, responsibly caught seafood from San Diego fishermen. Today, that work continues through the Local Fish Project.

If you are a chef, restaurant, private chef, market, educator, or food business interested in local seafood, Local Fish is the best place to connect. Through Local Fish, we help share seasonal knowledge, fisherman stories, resource tools, and aligned introductions between buyers and the local fleet.

Saraspe Seafoods is not currently operating as a standing wholesale catalog. Availability is seasonal, relationship-based, and often routed through the Local Fish network.

Carrying the Story Forward

What started with moving local seafood from boat to kitchen has grown into storytelling, education, programming, and community work rooted in San Diego’s working waterfront.

Knowledge From the Fleet

Our work is shaped by generations of commercial fishing experience, seasonal knowledge, and relationships with the people who harvest from our coast.

Relationship-Based Work

We connect fishermen, chefs, educators, community partners, and coastal advocates through honest communication, shared resources, and aligned projects.

Menu & Seafood Education

We help bring local seafood stories into kitchens, menus, workshops, and public programs through harvest knowledge, port of landing, seasonality, and fisherman connection.
