The Local Fish Project
The Local Fish Project is the public benefit initiative of Saraspe Seafoods. It was created to strengthen the connection between California’s working fishermen, chefs, educators, families, and coastal communities.
Through Local Fish, we support local seafood education, fisherman storytelling, chef and buyer relationships, resource development, workshops, programming, and community-based partnerships.
This work is rooted in a simple belief: local seafood is more than a product. It is a culture, a livelihood, a food system, and a living connection to the coast.
Saraspe Seafoods carries the family story. Local Fish carries the public-facing work of building tools, relationships, and programs that support the next generation of the working waterfront.
